"Blues Train" is for concert band. This piece will work for almost any young band because some of the instruments are optional. So, if your band does not have a full instrumentation, or you do not start beginning students on instruments such as Oboe or Horn in F, this piece will work. "Blues Train" also introduces the blues scale to young musicians, and each section gets an opportunity to play the blues scale. All playing ranges are appropriate for beginning/young musicians. Duration: 2:22. You can "like" Lost Key Music on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

If Ye Love Me, by Thomas Tallis, is an English Anthem that was first published in 1560, and perhaps composed circa 1549. It is based on John 14: 15-21.
This arrangement would not only work as a chorale for your more advanced groups, but also as a program piece for younger, less-experienced groups. This piece can serve as an introduction to your students of music from the Renaissance Period. The polyphony within forces students to listen and count.
