"Blues Train" is for concert band. This piece will work for almost any young band because some of the instruments are optional. So, if your band does not have a full instrumentation, or you do not start beginning students on instruments such as Oboe or Horn in F, this piece will work. "Blues Train" also introduces the blues scale to young musicians, and each sections gets an opportunity to play the blues scale. All playing ranges are appropriate for beginning/young musicians.
